Date: 18-01-2021

You know you need a food processor. Whether you’re in the market for your first one or you’re replacing an old one, searching for the right food processor can be difficult. With so many on the market, it can be hard to find the best food processor for your needs. And with so many to choose from, how do you know which is the best food processor?

Are Food Processors a Necessity or a Luxury?

While some appliances sit in the grey area between necessity and luxury, the food processor is not one of them. The moment you have one, you won’t ever be able to live without one again. Food processors are perfect for making a wide range of health, natural food without relying on store-bought and tinned food.

Choosing the Right Food Processor

Food processors come in two forms, cheap and nasty or expensive and good. While some of the cheaper food processors might look okay, you will see from the multitude of bad reviews online that you need to aim for something a bit more expensive that will work well and last longer. The main difference between cheap and expensive food processors is their components. The cheaper version will tend to have plastic components that break down faster. Unboxed my Magimix 4200XL and I am impressed so far, except, there is no cord storage unless I tip appliance on side and try and wind cord around a very awkward groove. I finally found a very poor diagram showing how to do this but the whole exercise is difficult and impractical. I should have checked the length of cor prior to purchase as I feel it’s not as long as I had hoped. My appliance will be in use almost daily so will be left on bench. I don’t like the look of an ugly straggly cord. Any solution to this?
